Associate Attorney Position

Peterkin Burgess is a boutique law firm serving Central Oregon for thirty years. We represent clients in the following primary areas of expertise: real estate, commercial and construction litigation; general real estate, construction and business transactional work; trust litigation and appeals.
Our home office in Bend, Oregon is a beautiful place to live and work, while allowing us to serve clients across Oregon. Our small firm environment fosters a team approach where one-on-one mentoring and problem solving thrive for the benefit of our clients and ourselves.
Peterkin Burgess has an immediate opening for a full-time litigation associate to work in our Bend, Oregon office. We are looking for a proactive person to join our woman led team. We genuinely enjoy the practice of law and strive for excellence in all that we do.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1-5 years of experience in litigation (i.e., drafting pleadings, discovery, and motion practice, supporting arbitration and trials, etc.)

A strong academic record

Excellent oral and written communication skills, legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills

The desire to work in a fast-paced litigation environment where all opinions and ideas are valued and considered

Strong personal and professional ethics

Admission or eligibility for reciprocity in the Oregon State Bar
Competitive pay commensurate with experience and skill level. We offer a competitive benefit package including employer paid medical and 401(k). This is an in-office position with the possibility for some hybrid/remote work in accordance with firm policy.
